E-flite Timber 61" BNF Basic with Floats and AS3X Stabilization - BNF - EFL5250
The Flight Guys at Motion RC are really excited about this new plane from E-flite. Make the world your runway with the amazing Timber™ 1.5m BNF® Basic park flyer. It comes equipped with an unbeatable combination of features that let everyone from newer pilots to expert sticks enjoy a versatile, sport-flying experience unlike any other. This plane comes loaded with great features we have outlined for you below:
1) Amazing lights - The EFlite Timber has some of the best lights in the business. The strobes look amazing and they are, without a doubt, some of the best lights in the industry. The lights and strobes are daylight bright. The plane has navigation lights, landing lights, beacons and wing-tip strobes all of which are brighter and more realistic compared to just about any foam RC plane on the market. We don't say this lightly. These lights are amazing!
2) Flight time - The plane was designed to fit a wide range of batteries. A 3S 2200 mAh Li-Po will give you about 8 minutes of flight time while a a 3S 3300 mAh will provide about 12 minutes of flight time.
3) Flaps included - Not always standard, flaps are always a welcomed amenity to most planes.
4) Floats and tundra tires both included - We fly a lot of float planes from lakes but we also fly off long grass. The E-flite Timber will handle both settings like a champ.
5) Leading edge slats included - How cool is that? You can turn the Timber from a great flying, decently aerobatic plane to a STOL (short takeoff and landing) by installing the included leading edge slats. Easy to install.
6) Plenty of power - This plane has the same power system as the E-Flite Ultimate2 3D plane and it only weighs a few extra ounces.
7) Shock absorbing landing gear (when tires are used). The design is spectacular and is perhaps the best shock absorbing landing gear we've ever seen on a plane in this class.
8) Dual steerable water rudders on the floats - Finally a seaplane that can maneuver! A most welcomed addition in this class.
The E-Flite Timber includes AS3X and SAFE select. Pilots who don't want to activate SAFE technology can bind the receiver normally and it will behave like a standard AS3X receiver. The receiver's AS3X stabilization settings can be fine tuned with the optinal Spektrum programming cable and free app (both available separately).
